Are you ready for the Arockalypse?
The greatest thing ever has finally happened. Finnish glam metal band Lordi has won Eurovision the highest score ever recorded in that contest. Eurovision is the annual contest previously famous for foisting Abba and Celine Dion on an unsuspecting world.
There has been nothing like this on the music scene since GWAR. They simply have to be seen to be believed. Check 'em out on YouTube.
All I can say is you better be prepared for the Day of Rockening, because it is already here.
p.s. I accidentally posted this on the wrong blog, but I think I'll leave it. Everybody must come to understand the power and might that is Lordi.

Lordi rocks!
But the sad thing is you can't really get Lordi discs in America. Oh, sure, you can buy the imports on Amazon for upwards of $30 per disc, but that's extortionist prices.
Since it's so hard to get, or rediculously expensive in the States, the record industry is just throwing money away.
Instead of having the discs available at reasonable prices, the recording industry is driving people toward the torrent and other p2p networks.
And they wonder why they're losing money.
So true, so true, anonymous one. However with the Eurovision victory I'm sure that Lordi records will be avialable here soon.

I must confess, I've been listening to Lordi a lot lately. I hate most all metal, I hate Kiss (who they obviously take after), I hate horror movies (ditto), and I hate glam, but God help me, Lordi rules. They truly are the best thing to happen to rock and roll in a long long time.
